This watch has a lot going for it. Beyond the FULLY original condition of the thing…even down to the crystal, the watch acts as an artifact to a very peculiar mistake in Rolex’s history. The term “error serial” refers to when Rolex reset their serial range to 100,000 after they hit 1 million units in 1954. Subsequently, the brand began to even confuse themselves, and in this case, you can see remnants of that with a “5” punched over a “4” in the serial number. Despite all that, the watch is remarkably preserved and represents the amazing value of semi-bubblebacks in today’s market.
